“Nurturing the Children” Annual Fund Appeal
Current and past members of The Lab School community are aware of our important history. Our primary mission as parents and educators is to nurture the values of peace and justice in young children. We believe that a child is uniquely gifted with talents and abilities and worthy of love and respect. In the words of Mohandas Gandhi,
“If we are to teach real peace in this world…we shall have to
begin with the children.”
We have over 45 years of serving young children and their families according to these principles. Because we are an independent, not-for-profit, we have limited financial resources and no desire to make our services unaffordable to the families who are our foundation and future.
Consequently, during the celebration of American Education Week in November, our school’s wonderful support organization, Friends of the Lab School, Inc,, will use this focus to begin its annual drive to raise money for the Nurturing the Children Fund. Your support of this fund will help ensure that the important work of The Lab School, Inc. and our dedicated educators can continue into the next forty-four years!

We ask you to consider Gandhi’s words and decide to make a true impact on our world by giving to the children who will be our peacemakers and advocates for justice.
